My Background

I have a background working with parents, carers, communities, and within education, offering guidance and support around trauma, conflict, relationships, low mood, identity, and bereavement. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of how life’s challenges can affect our sense of self and connection with others. I have a background working with children, young people, parents and carers, communities and within education. I can offer guidance and support around trauma, conflict, relationships, low mood, identity, and bereavement. I have a deep experiential understanding of how life’s challenges can affect our sense of self and connection with others

After completing my degree in Psychology, I trained as a Montessori teacher, an approach that emphasises independence, self-direction, and learning at one’s own pace within a respectful and supportive environment. This experience reinforced my belief in the importance of empathy, respect, and recognising each person’s individuality. I bring these values into my therapy practice, creating a space where lasting change can occur because you feel genuinely safe, heard, and understood.

With over 18 years of therapeutic experience, I completed my training at The Northern Guild of Psychotherapy, gaining qualifications in Psychotheraputic Counselling and Children and Young People's Psychotherapy. I have since gone on to complete a CYP IAPT Post Graduate Diploma in Systemic Family Practice and have Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) Level 2, which enables me to develop the use of DDP principles within my therapeutic practice.

My Approach

My approach is client-centred, grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own life. I offer a space of collaboration and reflection, where we can explore what has shaped your past, how it influences your present, and what you want your future to hold.

Working across a range of life stages has given me insight into the unique experiences of children, young people, parents, and adults. Wherever you are in your journey, I aim to meet you with warmth, curiosity, and respect, helping you to find clarity and confidence in moving forward.

Why Seaglass?

I have always loved sea glass. Each piece tells it's own story of resilience, and transformation. Like seaglass, things that have been broken, rough or shaped by time can become something beautiful, transformed and resilient. At Seaglass Therapy, I offer you a calm space to reflect, relax and rebuild.

Whether you’re navigating life transitions, loss, low self-esteem, anxiety, trauma or simply a sense of being stuck, you don’t have to face it alone. I’ll accompany you on your journey, step by step, at a pace that feels right for you.

Seaglass Therapy is based in a peaceful, easily accessible setting with convenient parking directly outside and a welcoming café on site, a comfortable environment to help you feel at ease from the moment you arrive.
